When SEnuke first came out I gave it a whirl. I found it buggy, and I found that I already had better systems in place for building links. Recently though some of my favorite link spam methods just went down the drain and wasn’t working anymore.
I had two choices.
1.) Find a couple of new types of scripts to post to.
2.) Save myself some time and just use something that existed already.
I’m doing both really – I’m working on a few new scripts that will do the trick, but that takes time. I needed something right now since I have client sites and foundation sites that are just desperate for more links. My helpers are doing their thing – but they stick to the white hat and foundation sites. They don’t promote my lower level spam sites. Needed a faster solution………..
SO ——- I broke down and ordered SENUKE again. That was two days ago and I’ve got a complaint (again). It isn’t buggy enough anymore… I feel the need to keep using it
Not only that – it’s going to cost me restructuring expenses.
Why?
I need another PC just to run this on and another desk
It does it’s job quite nicely but since it needs to run with no interference it’s getting in the way of the 3 pc’s I have up and running at the moment. You see I’m down to a 3 pc set up. Normally it’s like this:
My ubuntu machine is what I program my ruby and ruby on rails aps on. That’s where my link building usually happens. I don’t use it for much else since it annoys me for everything else. Unless I’m coding or running it to build links – well that’s it. For you “windows” kids out there it’s a pain in the rear if your not used to it. Ubuntu is a beast in itself.
My main machine runs vista and I use it for what I’ve got going on right now. For example this post is on my main pc.
I’ve also got a laptop, but it seems that my kids and wife have ‘stolen’ it, and I never get to use it anymore.
So I suppose I’ll go out and pick up a cheap PC in a few days and another desk.
By the time I’m done, SENUKE will have cost me:
$127 per month.
$500 for a new low end PC or laptop.
$100 bucks for another desk… or I’ll go all out and get a bigger desk to combine my normal desk with it. I’ve always wanted one of those “U” shaped desks with a PC on every side.
SEnuke also needs a few more bucks a month than the subscription fee to get anything out of it unless you’ve got more time to baby sit it than I do (my own solutions end up costing this as well). First off I have to pay for captcha solving for some of the senuke modules. That’s fair – 14 bucks for 2000 captchas is no big deal. I’ve also got to pay for someone to write my “spun articles”. There is a service that you can pay by the line, or that gives you packs of spun plr articles. I usually end up using both.
My estimated costs for a month:
Captcha Solving about $100.
Spun Articles about $500.
Chances are you won’t be using SEnuke as much as me. You’ll probably spend 28 bucks a month on captcha’s tops, and you can go as low as 30 bucks for the spun article membership. If you spend hours away from your PC you won’t need the second pc either. You can set SEnuke up and go to bed.
Am I going overboard here?
I don’t think so. I already pay much more than this per month for my helpers to spend hours per day creating and participating in web 2.0 communities. While they take the time to participate and bury links very deep and below the spam radar, they can’t handle volume like SEnuke can. I won’t be stopping what they do – because legit posting is always better. I’ll mainly be using SEnuke to push links to my other web 2.0 properties for now. It’s a good way to increase the links on my “legit” profiles values – and of course all the sites they link to.
Remember kids – it’s all about the links
There is a free 7 day trial for you to test out SEnuke through any of the hyperlinks in this post. Since it’s a paypal subscription you can log in and cancel directly whenever you want. The $127 isn’t peanuts I realize – but if you get 3k (or more) links in 7 days for free what do you have to lose.

Just got the Nuke myself… I hear you about the second pc and all…but I think you will have to eventually outsource that work also with a detailed instruction on how you want your links to be build. I say that because you get burned out fast with all the web 2.0 failing at login screen with your CaptchS setup. Then you will have to go in and pause the damn thing to do it manually. Anyways, I wont spoil your return to a free bugged nuke now, but keep us updated with your new “U” desk setup…will ya?
My wife wants half my office since I’ve made noises about moving into a “real” office this winter. She “humpffed” at me when I told her I was going to be taking up almost 1/2 the basement personally. She didn’t mind the space for the helpers, and she doesn’t mind my big desk now — apparently though there is a limit to the amount of space I’m allowed in the house beyond the garage.
Let’s see – I finished it.
I painted it.
I paid for it all
I apparently get 1/10th of the closet, my dresser, the garage, and grudgingly a space in the basement for work
It’s nice down here though. I’ve even had clients in. I did a good job, and we converted the theater ‘room’ into a kids room so I moved those chairs, the screen, projector and all down here when we moved in.
I’ll probably lose and let her have her scrapbooking space and just go with a normal desk. Just saw how cheap laptops have gotten and I think that’s what I’ll pick up instead of another box. Sorta miss my laptop and since everyone else uses it i’m always cleaning the infections out and afraid to use it for “work”.
Hey,
Cool post, I hear you about getting another machine. I only have one computer, just signed up for senuke recently and it’s already clear that I’ll probably have to get another machine to get the most out of it.
BTW, could you elaborate on how you’re using senuke to get maximum value please?
My plan is simple, set up small minisites around hot offers, spam content pages (linking to site) with senuke, spam bookmark/rss links to those content pages.
Very simple and I’m sure there’s a lot more I could be doing.
Cheers
Yes I’ll elaborate as I dig a little deeper into things. Ordered another pc on-line when it gets here I’ll set things up and really dig into things and do some testing.
I’m doing what we teach here though.
SENUKE LINKE –> Black hat and web 2.0 pages –> Foundations –> white hat sites.
So far I’ve done more with senuke with rss feeds than anything else. Wish I could have done more, but I do need to work. With out the second pc running it, i’m just going to wait till it gets here.
I just bought SE Nuke too… must be something in the air in August… lol
Anyway, I am using it on my Asus EEE PC, and it works awesome. It definitely needs its’ own machine to do its thing.
But, you could also use virtualization software like VMWare or Microsoft Virtual PC and it could still do its thing and not take up another spot on your desk. Chances are that your computer would have more resources than you would need anyway, so virtualization could be another way to go.
Can you get SENUKE to run on ubuntu. I have Senuke but my windows crashed and wouldn’t install. Tried various windows cd’s to no avail.
So running on ubuntu now. Tried installing wine and setting it up. Seems like it doesn’t work. The loading window comes and nothing else happens. Just stuck right there. Got any ideaS?
Thanksm
Tyler
did you ever find an answer to this question? i am thinking of using se nuke but dont want to go through the trouble if it does not work with ubuntu… I refuse to go back to windows
Thanks
Never tried tyler. But I bet someone on their forum might have – I’d ask there.
I use my ubuntu box for programming nad watching the occasional vid while working on this box. Really don’t have much on it at all.
