Black Hat Rss Feed
Thursday, August 14th, 2008Ok so I was playing around with photoshop working on the graphics for a new project when I decided I wanted to make a new RSS logo for this page. Why? Rss feeds are a great way to follow along with any blog and I wanted to draw attention to it.

Of course I needed to put one of the “black hat girls” in there 
— but the teenager with the tape across her mouth just didn’t cut it. Both from an “easy to work with” point of view to just how the whole part of her isn’t in the image.
So I went with one of our spares.
Warning: The rss background is from photoshopcandy and the psd is free – the girl is from Istock and I purchased the image for this site. If you use it — well it’s your own risk I suppose. I’m not sure how aggresive istockphoto is – but personally if you really want to use it – it’s a buck.
Anyway – back to the point? Are you following this blog or any blog through RSS feeds? If not may I suggest the wizrss plugin for firefox. I’m sure there are others out there, but I like it. I don’t get feeds dumped in my mailbox – and I can check things out at my own speed. Since I just drag and drop rss links into the box I can throw anything I want in there anytime.

Very cute… and I could tell it was a hat. I still like the girl with tape over her mouth. The others border on tasteless. While that really doesn’t matter with the subject at hand I know you have kids and appreciate that you don’t plaster the half naked black hat girls all over the site.
