PHPDUG – Great way to build up links
Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008I’m not going to be adding this to the “days” – but if you are reading us through rss or keeping up with new posts I’ve got a treat for you today.
Basically if you can create a database, and change permissions on two files you have a link building superstar.

I’ll say no more – except it can pull in “posts” from rss and from digg.

As always, a though provoking post. Although in this case I am thinking that I am not as sharp as thought! Will keep playing with it till I understand how to make the most of it.
Love the site by the way am a regular viewer.

I had been staying away from this because I didn’t think it had spam protection and I didn’t see the RSS feature but now I’m going to give it a second look.

It’s simple really – it will import RSS feeds (all your blogs have feeds for example) and you can also pull in content from DIG directly.
Fully populated site that grows everyday with YOUR links and OTHER peoples content.
Hard to knock
BTW – There are two templates that come with it. V2 and Simple. Simple is easier and hyperlinks the “posts” so you get better seo to the places your linking. V2 hyperlinks an image so you get better seo ON SITE.
Depends what your going for.

Wouldn’t you essentially achieve the same thing with a wp blog running feedpress or wp-o-matic?

Sure Flukey – but you don’t want all your links coming from wordpress and nothing else. This is just an easy way to make sites linking to you – think of them as ‘foundation’ sites.
I’ve actually set mine up and exported the database. I overwrite that on new installs so it takes about 3 minutes. Then I add in a few other feeds so there is different content on each one.
It’s got a few glitches (like it doesn’t import all the feeds each time) but for a pretty hands free site it’s not to difficult.
I’m testing out a new spinn off of pligg tonight that I’ll probbaly put up here when I know more about it.

phpdug is a very nice script…for spammers.
they not need to login,no username/password,but they can send their spam anyhow.

Delete the submit page if you don’t want anyone else to submit anything. There is almost always a way to do what you want
Remember this post was about spamming your own sites. Not a bad idea to have other peoples links in your own spam – sort of takes away a footprint.
