Well It’s been coming for a long time – I’m going crazy slowly.
Why? Posting Here and Keeping NSS 2 updated (not so much the tools – but the lessons).
It’s going to get worse though – because I’ve agreed to make a big series of “training” videos showing how to build a network from scratch.
So I’ve got to come up with a way to not make me go crazy……… and I’m thinking I’ll just merge EVERYTHING together into one big site. Some things will be free, some things will be paid.
What’s going to be inside? Well basically I’m going to go through similar things to what we talk about here at blackhatdigest, and what we talk about at NSS 2 and mixed in with tutorials on how to do some programming, and fun stuff like that will be different tools, and script. It’s going to end up pretty massive – there are hundreds of pages over at nss 2, hundreds of pages here, etc…
But we’ve got to come up with a name. I’m partial to bootcamp.blackhatdigest.com. But let’s face it – a lot of people are turned off by the term “black hat”, so I think I might have to avoid that. Stinks, but the term black hat is evolving into something that means scams, warez, etc… It has less to do with hacking, and seo than it used to in most peoples minds.
So I’ve got a few domains sitting around as part of my last domain buying spree that I think might work.

I kind of like them all. I don’t think I could decide either, except to say that the one that’s spelled wrong should be ignored.
I think the Black Hat name is cool! I vote for Bootcamp myself. I should mention, however, that I don’t mind being called a noob.
I have just spent the last week diving into the world of “Black Hat” tactics and have been astounded (and motivated) by the creativity and savvy of this discipline.
I do have to gush a bit and mention that the voice, personality and attitude of BlackHatDigest has been my favorite. I think I read your whole site. No, really. The whole thing.
I also don’t know if I would have given it much of a chance if it weren’t for Black Hat being in the title. I used to think Black Hat meant screwing people over, but now I know better.

I like noobies2pro the best. I wouldn’t use the bootcamp one though. There is already site called blackhatbootcamp. I wouldn’t think the words black hat are that much of a turn off. I guess it depends on who you intend to have as an audience.
I truly don’t care….go with the bootcamp thing like you want. It’s your site Maverick. Just don’t stop posting!

I do to. It’s not going anywhere. I’ll still post here. Just the long in depth tutorials that I don’t want open to the public or locked totally away inside a membership site need a place to go. A lot of it won’t be “black hat” so I also need to bring in some new folks who might just be scared of our hat color.
Change is good – change that gives me less work is even better — eventually I’ll swallow NSS 2 and Blackhat Digest into the new site – but that’s a long time away.

I’m sticking with the wp ecommerce plugin over there. I almost think it would be easier to use paypal buttons and have a download page for each product.
Takes about the same amount of time – and no stupid “approving” of the orders.
It’s like this – you buy something you want it. You don’t want to wait for me to log in and click a button.
Huge amount of “dropped” sales on the order pages as well. Lot’s of things go in the shopping cart that never go out
