Came across a domain the other day that was an exact match for the term I needed.  I thought great – let me make them an offer.  I saw that the site was for lease and “semi parked”.  Basically a landing page with ads and NO real SEO value what so ever.

O.K. – next step since I wasn’t leasing and I wasn’t paying that much for the site was to check the .net’s, orgs, etc…

Turns out just about every other extension was available…. and I’m ranking number one with just a single post/page.

No big surprise there, but I’m amazed at how many sites like this (with a lot of searches per month) that I found by searching for “keyword” + “domain for lease” variations.

Give it a whirl – might find a few golden nuggets.
