I never thought I would ever be in a position to ask for help like this. You see last night my family was kidnapped by ninjas. I don’t have any way of ransoming them so I’ve decided to take up some donations from my readers and friends to take karate lessons.

Seriously though, I’ve noticed on a number of forums that people are asking for help to pay for medical bills, to save their dogs, etc… I can’t help but think it’s another effect of a soured economy.
People don’t beg when they have work (most of them anyway).

You’re right Ed ..people with jobs don’t usually beg, but I’m thinking most of these forum beggars see creating sob stories as their jobs.
