I seem to be copying and pasting all day long and you probably are too.  Here are a few shortcuts to help you out a bit (amazed that everyone didn’t know these.

  • Ctrl + C = copies the highlighted text to the clipboard
  • Ctrl + V = pastes the clipboard contents into the file
  • Ctrl + X = cuts the highlighted text from the document
  • Ctrl + Backspace = deletes one word to the left of the cursor
  • Ctrl + Delete = deletes one word to the right of the cursor

Now my biggest issue is always the huge amounts of files, folders, etc.. that I need to copy and paste – move, etc..

I found a tool a few days ago that I think I’m gonna have to buy.  http://www.conceptworld.com/Piky/piky_features.asp  It’s shareware so you get a free 30 day trial.

90 percent of you probably won’t need pickybasket – but If your manipulating lots of folders, content, etc.. on your local drive it’s a time saver.

  1. Copy and past all day with ctrl+C & Ctrl + V, wow what a time waster.
Check out “ClipMate” this will make life so much easier and you can try for 30 days (no affiilliate link) as I do thousands of copy + pastes each day for seo – sem
and I can just enter tons of product inquiry response body texts for our services
and category or technical response emails to our media transfer customers.
I also find the signature template in Outlook a really big time saver as well.

When designing new websites there is a heck of a lot content and articles that have been spun that need to be copied and pasted so I find ClipMate a real help in the every day office management of my business.

ClipMate is a notepad extender the likes you have never enjoyed. Despite a learning curve of 5 minutes if you do this all day it is really quire straight forward for copying on the fly when surfing for block text ideas and articles etc.
I even use it to do a manual mail merge from other sources besifes outlook.

    Cheers
    Jon
