Yep, frustrating to say the least. By the time I find this soft I've been looking for for years, it's already gone :(

BUT there is hope: Ed is saying he wants to put a new version together :)

Another API you can grab access to is MerchantCircle. They are set up by location so it should be fairly easy to connect and scrape the info from them.
Business name, address, phone, they even offer coupons and newsletters form the users ;-)

I'm late to the party, but I just stumbled upon this site. I had been using Network Solutions as a registrar just because they're old school and that was almost the only choice back in the day.

I currently work for a registrar/hosting company and I'm amazed at GoDaddy's prices, they can sell domains cheaper than my company and many other companies buy their wholesale domains for. And I work for a Fortune 500 company. I'd love to see GD's books and see what kinda margins and volume they have.

On the other hand, while we can't compete on price we destroy them (and most other companies) on quality of tech support.

Anway, for personal domains Steve1943's idea up there sounds great. Become my own registrar/reseller and get em for cheap and I won't have to worry about some mind boggling BS. I had a site hosted w/ Ipower and the closed my acct. and deleted it. I called them up and said WTF? They said I called and told them I wanted to cancel. Either they're nuts or they have whack security policy.

If my father had been more like you I'd have taken over the world already... Instead he led me to believe that I'd be a ditch digger all my life. -Naturally we don't talk much anymore. ;)

But seriously Great job. I'm really envious of the squirt...

Next you could set him up with some virtualized PCs (using some VMWare like virtualbox.org) and use bots with each to mine gold or high-level characters in WoW, runescape or other games.

Ed\Aaron,
I picked this up the other day and I agree whole heartedly, the report is WELL worth the pittance of a price. Took me about three minutes to edit and include my info and 50 copies went out in the mail on Tuesday. Will be making the callbacks Thurs and Friday.
And the info in the report is worth the read too!
I already have a couple scenarios created to show the clients when I get the appointments scheduled!

I registered a domain about 6 months ago and now I finally have some great, honest material for the first Grand Opening Post. I will, by all means, site my sources and give you lots of credit as the Originator.

The domain is: http://gurubullshit.com

Perfectly suited to the task at hand, wouldn't you say?
