30 day guide – suspended because…..

October 26th, 2008 | 5 Comments | Posted in 30 Day Website Network, Overview, Rambling, Tutorials

O.K. it’s been weeks since I’ve added new days to the 30 day guide – and to be honest I just don’t know what else to add.

I’ve covered the basics and anything else I do is going to require you to have some programming knowledge and only a small portion of our readers seem to be learning how to program.

I’d planned on doing some more research posts but those are ALL over the place.  I’ve been pretty straight up with my research methods and  I do use wordze (just search on here for all the research posts).  I don’t have any secret methods that you can’t find just by doing.

Now – I’m not done posting by any stretch.  If your familiar with the “black hat” blogging crowd many of them disapear after making 20 or 30 posts — mainly because you can only say the same thing so many times :)

However, I’m not going anywhere. I support my members and clients here by teaching them things – and I know they read it (yes I’m watching you).  If you just found this site out of the blue – merry christmas.

Do the 18 day guide :) – Enjoy and rinse, wash, and repeat.  Be warned though – that there are over 100 posts on this blog that never went into the guide – we’d really be the 100 day guide if I had made each post a day.

Black Hat Day 18 – Really Simple Rss Tool

August 1st, 2008 | 4 Comments | Posted in 30 Day Website Network

Black Hat Girl - Gun

All Right – this isn’t a “black hat” tool at all.  At worst it’s a grey hat tool that you can abuse the heck out of or use it totally legit.

What it does is it allows you to define categories (each category is a feed), and then make items for each category.

(newbies note:  Rss feeds are made of items.  Each item has a link, description, and a title.)

Pretty simple right?

Well you fire this puppy up, make rss feeds for all your categories that you have websites in and then shoot the rss url that’s generated over to the aggregators.

Simple…

There are services that do this for you on-line, but you don’t have as much control that way.  So when I find something that works I usually just code up something fast.

Here is the download:

Black Hat Day 18 – What to do with Rss Feeds

August 1st, 2008 | 8 Comments | Posted in 30 Day Website Network

So your wordpress blogs have feeds, your making feeds with the Really Simple Rss Tool, using rss rebound, or whatever… and you have feeds.

What do you do with them?

That’s where aggregators come in.  Places like:

Feedage.com
FeedAgg.com
FeedFury.com
GoldenFeed.com
BlogDigger.com
Feedooyou.com
PureRSS.com
RSSMicro.com
RSSMotron.com
Octora.com
IceRocket.com

and don’t forget grazr (covered earlier), and there is a new service called dapper.net that you should be checking out.

Each service is slightly different but some of them let you enter in nothing more than just an RSS feed.   Those are the ones that are easiest to game – and where you can even rank for long tail keywords right through google.

If you don’t have a way to make RSS feeds – check out the next day 18 post.
