Let’s be honest.  If your reading my blog you probably aren’t building websites out of some altruistic motive.

Your building them to make money.

So why in gods green earth do I see so many of you building link farms,  websites, “property” of some type that is never going to make a dime.

Some Examples (and excuses):

200 Blogger blogs with ZERO references to anything that earns you money.  EXCUSE :  But it’s my link farm.

So?

Those links have value sure – but unless your blogger “farm” is totally automated it’s sucking up your time. Your time should turn into money right?  Put up a couple money posts.  Want an easy way?  Take an article about xyz from the article directories, write a paragraph UNDER their resource box — of course pointing to your affiliate link.  You break no rules, have no reason to get kicked from blogger, etc…

Why do I see so many of you not doing your damn research?

Hello – McFly!  If you don’t know what your trying to do before you come out the gate your just insane.   I KNOW I’ve mentioned research enough times through out this blog, and the guide.  Let’s just say you need to have:

Keywords to target and something to sell. Keywords to target and something to sell. Keywords to target and something to sell. Keywords to target and something to sell. Keywords to target and something to sell. Keywords to target and something to sell.

That clear enough?

From the moment you start building a network have a plan.  Don’t depend on long term keyword “accidents”…. depend on long term keywords PLANNED OUT!

  1. OK, so what you’re saying is that we should do research on keywords so that we can then find something to sell? Sounds good, got it…

    TomG.

PS – Been reading your blog forever, love it.

  2. Should I always keep the resource box? the paragraph where is the name of the real author and a link to his page?

I’m taking (or stealing if you want) some articles from directories to my automated blogs, and I don’t copy the resource box, I think this is a obvious footprint

One note: I rewrite the articles

Nico – Your worried about footprints while your stealing and violating copyrights :)

Assuming your using some kind of tool for the rewriting – obviously not the point of this post…. It was a way to slap up a fast “money” post or three on a link farm blog.

What I like about your posts is that they don’t beat around the bush and get straight to the point. We all need a slap around the head sometimes to get us going.

Terence – Your assuming that’s on purpose. I really hate typing :)
