Many many marketers use aweber to run their lists.  I do too and I absolutely love it.  One of the newest features they have added automatically checks any links I add to the e-mails.  Great way to really save your butt when you type in the wrong link.

On another note – a mailing list is a great way to “monetize” some of that traffic when you can’t put an affiliate offer.  I know one guy who has a ton of black hat sites that serve no purpose other than to show a pop-up to join his mailing list (you know one of those full screen pop -ups you see before the actual content).
