Almost everyday I get an e-mail from someone that says something along the lines of “I DON’T GET IT”…  or they ask me exactly what to do.

I know nothing about their skills, tastes, or fishing habits, so how can I help them?  I usually say go back to the start of this blog.  Read it again.  Read the places I send you off to as well.  Spend 4 days reading if that’s what it takes and you still don’t ‘get’ it.

After they do that a few more times - a little light bulb usually goes off.  They say - hey I just have to get to work building something…. and off they go.

A few weeks later - they come back with “I DON’T GET IT” again :) - it’s like reverse osmosis sucked all the knowledge they gained right out their butt into the chair.

My answer - start from the beginning again.  Write down your revelations in a notebook - no nothing groundbreaking, but write down.

I’m going to do this, then this, then this.  Check that stuff off as your done.   Here might be something you come up with  (imagine the checkboxes)

Research a topic (I like fishing).

Find 10 good terms that I KNOW I can rank for.

Build a white hat site that has those terms in the pages and optimize for them.

Build 10 foundation sites (each one optimizing for one of those phrases).  These link up.

Build 40 black hat sites optimized for well - a lot of fishing phrases. Link them up to the foundation sites.

Build links externally to white hat site.

Build links externally to foundation sites.

Build links externally to black hat sites.

Start over at step one again with a new topic.  Use existing foundation and black hat sites to ‘help’ yourself out with this bunch…. add a step this time.

After you build links to your new sites…. make sure you build a few more for your existing sites.

DO NOT WAIT FOR MONEY - if you wait you will always be waiting….
