Today I figured it’s time to learn how to get some external links coming towards your site by leaving comments.

For this one - we are going to talk about the “TOP COMMENTATORS” plug in.  In a nutshell some blog owners install this plug in and display their top commentators. Some versions of this plug in have a little vulnerability that you exploit.

First you have to find some blogs using the plug in.  A quick Google search will reveal a bunch.

Example Search:  “top commentators” “Powered by wordpress” “your keyword”

Or there is a listing of them with PR here:

http://www.riceblogger.com/blogging-tips/blogs-with-top-commentators-wordpress-plugin/

You are better off searching for new ones as the rice blogger link is known by lots of us now.

When you find some about your topic, you will want to take note of the top commenters, and  make a note of their ‘username’.

Then you make a comment with their username, and YOUR url.

If they are using the right version of the plug in - all their comments now show your links.

Disclosure:  I got this idea from syndk8.net - and I have zero idea how long it will work for - or if you are going to have 1000 people trying the same thing.  I’ve tried it and it works.
